Timberlane's softball team, after losing its first 11 games, won its third straight, beating Winnacunnet 9-3. Masha Lange was 3 for 3 and scored three runs and Meaghan Bishop had a double and three RBIs.

Productive Byrd

 

Pinkerton freshman Rachel Byrd was 3 for 4 with four RBIs, giving her 11 RBIs in the last three games, as the Sachems nipped Winnacunnet 6-4 in nine innings. She also had a double for the game-winning run in the ninth.

Near no-hitter

Theresa Zwart gave up a lead-off single but no more hits the rest of the way as Londonderry blanked Winnacunnet 10-0. Zwart fanned seven and got offensive help from Samantha Nitso, who had four hits, four RBIs and a two-run homer.
