Sanborn's softball team scored five runs in the top of the seventh to rally past Merrimack Valley 7-5. Kaila Nicholson (3 for 4) had the key blow for the Indians (7-7), a three-run double, and then scored herself on an RBI single from Amanda Turco.
Read More »Nicole Gubellini and Val Bauer often combine on the mound for Salem, but yesterday they both impacted the unbeaten Blue Devils' 7-1 win over Merrimack in different ways. Gubellini hit a grand slam homer over the left field fence for the key hit in the game and Bauer went the distance on the mound for the shutout, striking out 13 while scattering six hits.

With two outs in the eighth, Adrienne Weishaar had an RBI hit over the left fielder's head to lift Pinkerton over Merrimack 6-5. Katelyn Erhardt was 3 for 3 and had a pair of RBIs for the Astros (2-0).
