Gosh, Gubellini!

 

Nicole Gubellini pitched the last five innings in relief for the win and went 3 for 4 at the plate with two home runs, giving her three in three games as Salem survived Manchester Memorial 4-2. Two outstanding defensive plays, by right fielder Rachel Murphy and second baseman Sara Bracken, were pivotal in the victory according to coach Harold Sachs.

Lindsey Bolduc was 3 for 4, and drove in a key run with a perfectly-placed suicide squeeze to help Londonderry down Manchester Memorial 6-1.

Bracken delivers

 

Senior captain Sara Bracken went 2 for 2 at the plate with two RBIs and was outstanding defensively at second base as Salem remained unbeaten (7-0) with a 9-2 victory over Manchester Memorial.

Going the distance

 

Pinkerton's softball team, trailing 3-0 in the first, rallied to tie the game and then finally clipped Memorial 5-4 in 10 innings. Katelyn Erhardt had the game-winning hit in the 10th and Melanie Dusseault went the distance for the win. Kasey Marraffa returned after missing two games with a hamstring injury and went 2 for 5 while Britney Bernard had three hits.
