No. 13 Timberlane stunned No. 4 Bishop Guertin 11-5 in opening-round action. Dan Armstrong, who went 3 for 3, scored twice and drove in four runs, cracked a big two-run triple in the sixth. Brendan Heinze drove in three runs. It was an eventual day for winning pitcher Jake Siemering, who walked eight, hit a batter and gave up eight hits.
