Strong Saugus offense bookending halftime created enough separation in a 71-65 decision over North Reading. Sophomore Kyle Lentini finished the season strong with a game-high 27 points while captain Nick Rosano ended his high school career with 19 points.

Hamilton-Wenham 60, North Reading 51

Hanging within a point of the CAL Division 2 champs after a 27-point loss in their first meeting, North Reading ran out of gas at the end and fell to Hamilton-Wenham, 60-51. Sophomore Kyle Lentini had 15 points to lead the Hornets, who must win their last two games to qualify for the state tourney.

North Reading saved its best free throw shooting for the end, hitting 10 of 12 in the fourth quarter to upset Pentucket, 61-55, and remain alive for a tourney berth. Trailing by two going into the fourth, Nick Rosano (game-high 23 points) connected on 5 of 6 from the line to get the Hornets over the top. Corey McNamara kept the Sachems close with 21 points including six 3-pointers. Nolan Dragon returned to the Pentucket lineup after a football injury, scoring seven points.
