Strong Saugus offense bookending halftime created enough separation in a 71-65 decision over North Reading. Sophomore Kyle Lentini finished the season strong with a game-high 27 points while captain Nick Rosano ended his high school career with 19 points.

Hanging within a point of the CAL Division 2 champs after a 27-point loss in their first meeting, North Reading ran out of gas at the end and fell to Hamilton-Wenham, 60-51. Sophomore Kyle Lentini had 15 points to lead the Hornets, who must win their last two games to qualify for the state tourney.

North Reading saved its best free throw shooting for the end, hitting 10 of 12 in the fourth quarter to upset Pentucket, 61-55, and remain alive for a tourney berth. Trailing by two going into the fourth, Nick Rosano (game-high 23 points) connected on 5 of 6 from the line to get the Hornets over the top. Corey McNamara kept the Sachems close with 21 points including six 3-pointers. Nolan Dragon returned to the Pentucket lineup after a football injury, scoring seven points.

Even with Kyle Lentini submitting his second straight strong effort, scoring 16 points, North Reading couldn't get past Newburyport, dropping a 59-46 decision.

Nick Rosano had a triple double (14 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) and Kyle Lentini added 18 points and 10 rebounds to power North Reading past Amesbury, 66-59.

North Reading and Rockport were tied at 52 after a Kyle Lentini jumper, but Rockport won the game on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer 55-52. Lentini scored a team high 14 points for the Hornets.

North Reading lost to Austin Prep 46-35. Dave Giannattasio made the all-tournament team and scored six points against Austin Prep.

A big run to end the first half, triggered by high-scoring sophomores Kyle Lentini (17 points) and Tommy Hogan (12 points), sparked North Reading to an impressive 65-53 road win over Ipswich. Solid two-way efforts from Jamie Mantho (10 points) and co-captain Dave Giannattasio helped hold the Tigers at bay.
