4.Swampscott (7-1): The Northeastern Conference Small title is on the line when the Big Blue host Beverly in a battle of league unbeatens at home this Saturday. Last week: 4
5.Pelham (8-0): Friday is the one showdown that everyone has been waiting for: the clash of the unbeatens at Gilford. Last week: 5
6.Greater Lawrence (8-0): Knocking off fellow unbeaten Lynn Tech on the road last weekend was a major step towards the postseason for the Reggies. Last week: 7
7.Salem, N.H. (6-3): After stunning previously unbeaten Nashua South two weeks ago, the Blue Devils followed that performance by tripping up Manchester Central. Last week: unranked
8.Londonderry, N.H. (6-3): Alex Theodhosi set the Lancers' single-season rushing record, but he would have preferred a win over Nashua South.

9.Beverly (5-3): Panthers have turned their season around, winning three straight after a three-game skid. A win at Swampscott Saturday gives them their first NEC title since 1988. Last week: 11
10.Salem, Ma. (5-3): It may not always be pretty, but the Witches are winning with consistency. Their next victory will be their most in one season since the championship year of 1999. Last week: 12
11.Andover (5-3): Chelmsford continued its hex over the Golden Warriors last week, much to their chagrin. Last week: 8
12.North Andover (6-2): The red-hot Scarlet Knights gave CAL Small leader Newburyport and ace quarterback Joe Clancy fits a week ago. Last week: honorable mention
