Although the young Georgetown Royals continued to improve, they were no match for Pentucket, 14-7.

For the Royals, Jon Bordonaro had four goals, Mike Smith had one goal and one assist, Ben Lauren had a goal, Josh Hall had a goal, Max Mangano and Chris Birnie each had an assist, and Joe Campbell had 10 saves in net.

Knights convincingly clinch CAL

North Andover clinched the Cape Ann League title and avenged an early-season loss to Masconomet after rolling to an easy 8-2 victory over the third-place Chieftains. Alex Blane (two goals, one assist) and Rob Morandi (goal, assist) led the way offensively, and Brien O'Connor turned aside 10 shots in a strong effort.

Pentucket 6, Ipswich 3

Pentucket remained on course for a spot in the state tournament and beat CAL Division 2 rival Ipswich, 6-3.  Dylan Chase led the Sachems with a hat trick, Greg Rotundo had a goal, Alex Connelly and Ben Stasiuk had a goal and an assist each, and Dan Cashman had an assist.

Making a strong run at the postseason, Central Catholic pounded Cambridge Rindge & Latin, 22-0, for its fifth straight victory. Brandon Lavoie got the offense going for the Raiders (6-7), winning 19 of 22 faceoffs. Andrew Ouellette made Lavoie's work count with four goals and four assists, giving the junior 10 goals over his last two games. Next up is a key matchup tomorrow with Division 1 Chelmsford.
