Knights convincingly clinch CAL

North Andover clinched the Cape Ann League title and avenged an early-season loss to Masconomet after rolling to an easy 8-2 victory over the third-place Chieftains. Alex Blane (two goals, one assist) and Rob Morandi (goal, assist) led the way offensively, and Brien O'Connor turned aside 10 shots in a strong effort.

"The team is communicating a lot better than earlier in the year," said coach Steve Connolly, whose Knights fell to Masco, 8-3, in the teams' first meeting on April 14. "The offense has become less selfish and they're just starting to play more like a team."
