Trailing by a goal at halftime, the Andover field hockey team came back to earn a 3-2 win over Cohasset. Heather Graham had a goal and an assist for the Warriors (12-2-4).

Pinkerton boys lacrosse held on to its 4-3 halftime lead to squeak past Cohasset, 8-7. Ryan Auger, Tom Sweeney and Owen McCormack each scored twice for the Astros.

Joe Reardon (120) and Max Whyman (132) both won titles as North Reading-Lynnfield finished third at the Cohasset Tournament.

North reading/Lynnfield won the Cohasset tournament for the second straight year, easily outscoring the runner-uip host team. Eric Kerr (126) and Tom Arseneault (220) were repeat champions for North Reading, which was coming off a big dual-meet win over Masconomet.

Mikaela Rogers erupted for 37 points to lead Bradford Christian 53-30 over South Merrimack Christian Academy. This comes after Rogers hit for 34 points against Covenant Christian on Wednesday.

LYNN — The Newburyport girls soccer team’s march for a second consecutive state title has only one step remaining.

The Clippers advanced to the Division 3 state final last evening with a 1-0 double-overtime victory over Division 3 South sectional champion Cohasset. Only 22 seconds remained before the game entered its final stage — penalty kicks — when Hannah McCormick kept Newburyport’s run for back-to-back titles intact. She scored the goal from 12 yards out, slipping a high shot past Cohasset goalie Johanna Brophy.
