Maddie Cote scored in the first half and Hannah Deschene made a fantastic save in the second half as Pelham defeated Oyster River in the Division 2 girls soccer first round. The Pythons will now play at Pembroke Sunday at 2 p.m.

Oyster River won the team title ahead of No. 2 Windham (389-398) at the DIvision 2 state golf qualifier. The top 14 advance to Saturday's individual championships at Beaver Meadow. Windham qualifiers were: 6. Nick Furnari 76, 10.tie Aaron Osiek and Alex Ryan 79; and 14. Chrs Billone 84.

Kendall Morrill (6) and Averie Bowman (4) combined for 10 goals and Shaye Fanning and Charlotte Hosterman combined for the win in net as Timberlane blitzed Oyster River 16-4.

Ethan Gerry scored with 1:19 left in the game to boost Timberlane over Oyster River, 10-9. Eric George had four goals for the Owls.go up 10-9. 

Jared Khalil had 17 points and brother Dylan Khalil added 15, with both sinking three 3-pointers, as Sanborn defeated Oyster River 66-62 in the first round of the Division 2 tournament. A strong 20-point third quarter made the difference for Sanborn, which had four players in double figures and will advance to Saturday's quarterfinals.

Two-time state champion Ryan Hogan dominated at the Division 1 state meet over the weekend, taking down one state record and narrowly missing another, leading Timberlane's boys to seventh place at division one states.

Evan Roeger came off the bench for some strong work on the boards to help Timberlane trip Oyster River, 52-43.

Jake Dumont scored 16 of his 19 points and Jake McGlinchey had 15 of 16 points in the second half as Pelham remained unbeaten (10-0) with a 52-29 win over Oyster River. 

Dylan Khalil poured in 29 points and brother Jared Khalil added 16 as Sanborn opened its season with a 73-53 victory over Campbell.

Oyster River ousted Sanborn in the Division 2 quarterfinals, 4-1. For the Indians, Evan Burke had the goal, his fourth of the season, on Max Lussier's sixth assist of the fall. Nate Talarico was busy in net with 17 saves.
