Senior Connor Ross contributed a team-high 13 service points and 15 digs, and Sam Hovan led the way with 23 kills as top-seeded Timberlane swept Mascenic, 3-0, in the quarterfinals. The Owls will play No. 4 Windham in the state semis on Thursday at 7 p.m. from Nashua North High.

Pelham stays unbeaten, wins in OT

Trailing Mascenic 1-0 late in the second half, Pelham field hockey got a late goal from Madi Robito on a feed from Amy Granfield to tie the game, and then Abbey Bevens scored the winner on a breakaway in overtime to give the Pythons a thrilling 2-1 win. Abbie Patchen also had a terrific game on defense, and Pelham is now 12-0 on the season.

Cobi Moore had 34 assists and 16 service points including seven aces to pace No. 1 seed Pinkerton over Masenic 3-1. Sean Galusha and Hunter Hazard both had 15 kills for the Astros (18-1).

Zach Shoopman scored his 36th and 37th points on a pair of free throws with eight seconds left but Mascenic beat Sanborn 69-68 on a Brett Stauffenger layup with a second to play. Shoopman had a remarkable 28 points in the second half but Mascenic (6-1) held off the upset-minded Indians (3-6).
