North Andover's dynamic sophomore duo, Abby Mastromonaco and Courtney Dalke, who ran together in the summer, ran together Saturday at the Catholic Memorial Invitational and led the Knights to fourth place.

The Pinkerton and Central Catholic boys cross country teams may both be peaking at the right time.

Both the Astros and Raiders finished second Saturday in separate races at the Catholic Memorial Invitational and gave signs that they'll be factors next week in the Division 1 state meet and Merrimack Valley Conference meet respectively.

With runners on first and second, Sam Lara (9 Ks) got the final batter to ground out and Central Catholic beat Catholic Memorial 4-3. Mike Piero homered and Michael Borrelli and Sean Thompson each had two hits.

St. John's Prep pinned Catholic Memorial 60-12 to win the Catholic Conference wrestling title for the 19th straight year. The Prep (23-3) has 79 straight conference wins.

Dom Keegan blasted a three-run home run over the left field fence to tie the game in the fifth, and Mike Mercuri tripled and scored on a wild pitch to give Central Catholic a 4-1 walkoff victory over Catholic Memorial.

Andrew Nadeau had the first hat trick of his career to pace Central Catholic to an impressive 5-1 victory over Catholic Memorial. Cam Gendron, just back  from an injury, had a goal and three assists for the Raiders (14-6-1).

Central Catholic's boys soccer team stayed unbeaten (3-0-4) with a 2-1 victory over Catholic Memorial. Kyle Ouellette and Nick Mroczko scored for the Raiders and Adam Morris was outstanding on defense.

Senior Eric Robbins had his first career hat trick as Central Catholic's hockey team ended its regular season on a high note with a 4-0 shutout of Catholic Memorial. 

Trailing 1-0 at halftime, Central Catholic's boys soccer team erupted for four goals in a 4-1 victory over Catholic Memorial. Nick Mroczko and Davonn Smith both scored twice for the Raiders.
