Central Catholic's Andrew Duval scored in overtime to give the Raiders a 4-3 victory over state power Catholic Memorial. Michael Brothers made 28 saves for Central (10-8-4), while CM fell to 14-5-1.

The North Andover girls places second at the MSTCA Division 2 Relays. The Scarlet Knights (52 points) wer eled by second-placed finishes from their 1,600 spring medley relay (4:23.78), a third from the 4x800 (9:57.06) and a fourth from the 4x50 (25.31).

Pinkerton's boys cross country team put it all together to take top honors at the Catholic Memorial Invitational.

The Astros placed first with just 39 points, comfortably ahead of runner-up Lexington. Central Catholic placed fourth and Methuen was fifth.

BOSTON — Finleigh Simonds just keeps getting better.

The Haverhill freshman had her best race yet Saturday wo place first at the Catholic Memorial Invitational at Franklin Park, crossing the line at 19:38, six seconds ahead of runnerup Sophia Arruda of Bishop Feehan on the 5K course.

Nick Remy tossed 4.1 solid innings, and Jonathan Montanile came on to finish the save as Central Catholic took down Catholic Memorial, 2-1. The win qualified the Raiders (10-10) for the state tournament.

The St. John's Prep wrestling team smashed Catholic Memorial 72-3 for its 21st straight Catholic Conference title. The Eagles (26-1) have now won 87 straight league meets.
