Danvers rolled past Saugus 4-1. Kelli Getchell, Christie Kaczynski, Brittany Russo and Lindsey Dattoli each scored goals for the Falcons, who improved to 4-0. Becky Landers also played very well for Danvers.

Fishermen fight for hard-earned win, blank Saugus

GLOUCESTER | Normally a soccer score of 4-0 would indicate a blowout.

But in Gloucester's 4-0 victory over Saugus last night at Newell Stadium, that was not the case. The Fishermen defense stopped numerous second-half scoring chances for Saugus, and caught a few breaks to come away with the victory.

Magicians cruise

Marblehead rolled past Saugus 5-2. Sam Terrell, Pat Murphy and Ellery Smith each scored for the Magicians, who also got goals from Nick Belesis, Jess Lipkind and Simon Crowe. Goalie George Kaltsas also played well, making seven saves and stopping a penalty kick in the second half.
