The game was deadlocked 1-1 after two periods, but North Andover poured it on for a 4-1 hockey win over Saugus. Kyle Donnelly (2), Brendan Donnelly and David Carroll scored. It was the first varsity win for first-year coach Scott Greene and for goalie Troy Takesian. Senior Carroll had his first varsity goal.

Vasquez TD pass as time expires gives Greater Lawrence win over Saugus

As time expired in the game, Greater Lawrence's Manny Vasquez hit Justin Ortega for a 15-yard touchdown pass. The Reggies then went for the two-point conversion to decide the game, and Augustine Raina plowed in to give Greater Lawrence a 15-14 win over Saugus.

Shots don't fall

Triton girls basketball hung in tough but couldn't make enough shots in Monday's 46-32 loss to Saugus. The Vikings were led by Meredith Kennedy with seven points and Alex Kennedy and Izzy Cambece each scored six points. Triton will return to action tonight when they host Rockport for Senior Night, honoring seniors Kate Carter, Alex Kennedy and Meredith Kennedy.

Pentucket can't keep pace with Saugus

WEST NEWBURY — For a moment, Pentucket had taken control of the game.

On the third play of the fourth quarter, Sachems defensive back Brandon Wilbur intercepted a pass and returned it to the Saugus 33-yard line. Seven plays later, Wilbur hauled in a pass from his QB, Gus Flaherty, for an 8-yard touchdown.

Georgetown won twice in a weather-shortened quad-meet at Gloucester to improve to 10-0. Josiah Krason (126) and John Blythe (152) both had a pair of pins and Ian Forgitano had a big 3-2 win over Mike Titus of Saugus at 113.

Bounsey homers to lead Pentucket

Pentucket's Travis Bounsey ripped a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth to break a scoreless tie and lead his team to a 2-0 win over Saugus. Conor O'Neil pitched a shutout in the win and Cam Wolbach went 3 for 3 with a run scored and two stolen bases.
