Senior forward Nolan Kilimonis scored a career-high 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Sanborn to its first win of the season, 74-44, over Epping. Colin Grenier added 7 points and 8 assists in the win.

Kyle Ventola scored 16 of his game-high 19 points in the first half as Timberlane cruised past Epping 69-30 in the Oyster River Christmas Tournament. The Owls allowed just 15 points total in the final three quarters.

Six Timberlane players scored between 7 and 15 points as the Owls defeated Epping 70-56. Connor Schott led the way with 15 points.

Methuen senior Mike O'Donnell was the man of the hour yesterday at the Boston Holiday Track and Field Cghallenge at Boston University.

O'Donnell won the 1,000 meters in a blazing school and meet record 2:29.51, beating the runner-up and old meet standard by five seconds and the school record by three seconds. he was also selected as the track Athlete of the Meet.

PELHAM — Pelham led 10-6 after a period on a Kevin Cheam 65-yard touchdown run and a 32-yard Jake Diaz field goal.

Cheam went over 100 yards rushing but Epping took control en route to a 27-10 victory. Defensive lineman Justin Reale and center Chadd Loring also played well for the 1-2 Pythons.

Jackson Morton scored 12 and Ryan Morris added 10 as Sanborn won for the just the second time this year, following a 50-40 decision at Epping.  The Indians last won on Dec. 30.

Katie Savard recorded eight points and nine rebounds while Elyse Law had nine points and 13 rebounds to lead Sanborn girls basketball 36-20 over Epping. 

 Sanborn sophomore Danielle Jongsman recorded her first hat trick as the Indians blanked Epping 4-0. Jess Plante had a goal and two assists for the Indians (5-3), who outshot Epping by a whopping 28-2 margin.

Kate Farrell had a strong day for second-place Windham at Sanborn's Jamie Martin Invitational, placing second individually just over five seconds behind the winner. Lexie Basiliere came in fourth overall as the Sanborn senior ran a 20:22.21. Pelham finished fourth paced by Erica Pantaleo (eighth overall) and Shannen Arsenault (10th).
