Sweet snag

With the bases loaded and one out in the seventh, pitcher Shawn Roubidoux snagged the shot back at the mound and had the composure to throw home to get the force out. He then got the next batter to ground out and shut the door in the eighth as Pelham downed Merrimack Valley 8-5.

Sanborn was in position for its first win in Division 2 play, up nine in the fourth, but fell victim to some inexperience and Merrimack Valley, 66-64. Junior Chris Matthews paced the Indian effort with 17 points.

cut it to one in the fourth but could not get over the mountain.

It was down to the final seconds and we had a chance but needed a stop and score

Superb relief

With the score tied 3-3 in the fifth with Merrimack loading the bases with only one out, Londonderry (11-2) brought in Erica Boehm, who shut the door the rest of the way in a 10-4 victory. Samantha Nitso led the attack, going 4 for 4  and breaking the game open in the sixth with a two-run triple.
