Epic teammate battle

Teammates Quinn Cerami and Landon Neal had quite the head-to-head battle in both the 55-meter dash and the 300 at Saturday's Plymouth State meet, ultimately helping lead Windham to a second-place finish as a team. In the 55, Cerami edged out Neal by .007 seconds to take first, but in the 300 Neal took first and edged out Cerami by .04 seconds.

Couple Jaguar winners

The Windham girls track and field team had two winners at a meet at Plymouth State. Abby Hughes won the 600 (1:49.92) and Reagan Murray won the 300 (45.68), as the Jaguars took sixth out of 10 scoring teams.

McKenna Williams made sure the Pelham girls basketball team started its season off on the right foot. The senior dropped 20 points with four 3-pointers to lead the Pythons to a season-opening 56-51 win over Merrimack Valley.

Pelham advances

 

 Junior Abbey Bevens scored the 50th goal of her career and Sydney Nutter got the game-winner with three minutes left as the Pelham field hockey team edged Merrimack Valley 2-1 in the Division 2 first round of the state tournament. The Pythons will be at Souhegan at noon Saturday in the quarterfinals.

Down four heading into the final quarter, the Windham girls basketball team scored 22 points in the final frame to pull out a victory over Merrimack Valley. Kaleigh Walsh led the way with 17 points and Emily Orciani chipped in 14 for the undefeated Jaguars (3-0).
