White's record day not enough for N.S. Tech

Head coach Mike Drouin felt North Shore Tech played its best game of the season against Minuteman Regional Saturday in Lexington. But it still wasn't enough as it dropped a 28-27 decision.

"It's the worst feeling yet," said Drouin. "It's an emotional game and the kids really feel it after this one." The Bulldogs lost despite a sensational game by Cam White, who set a school record for most touchdown receptions (4) and most yards (203) by a receiver. North Shore Tech quarterback David St. Pierre also set a school mark with four TD passes. White, meanwhile, finished with eight catches.

Georgetown thrashes North Shore Tech

The only thing standing between Georgetown's Brandon Wade and the end zone was Randy Jones of North Shore Tech, who managed to force Wade out of bounds just shy of the goal line at an Oct. 20 football game.6 Photos

There is always something to work on.

After blasting winless North Shore, 44-8, Georgetown now faces a trio of teams (Northeast, Chelsea and Minuteman) with a combined 1-17 record before meeting Manchester Essex Thanksgiving morning for the Commonwealth Conference small school title and a Super Bowl berth. But head coach Matt Blanchard will use this opportunity to keep his troops on the winning path while adapting his substitutes to varsity-level competition.

Greater Lawrence cuises, stay perfact

MIDDLETON | Like surgeons slated for an afternoon golf match at the club, unbeaten Greater Lawrence Tech wasted little time peeling through North Shore Tech, 41-26, for victory No. 6.

The Reggies rolled up a 28-0 first quarter lead and sent the starters to the bench for good at the break, up 35-0. "That's it man, a short day," said senior fullback Victor Sosa, who bumped and careened for 57 yards and three TDs on his six rushes. "Take care of business and give the rest of the guys a chance. All business."

North Shore Tech football team bows to Chelsea

MIDDLETON | Chelsea High football coach Mike Stellato refused to take the bait when he was asked whether Saturday's game against North Shore Tech represented a sort of homecoming for him.

Just a year ago, Stellato was coaching a few miles away at Danvers High and it was the realization of a dream for him to be in the Northeastern Conference. He was hoping to be there for a long time, but it ended up being just one season due to a job issue at Danvers.
