Overtime hero

Eric Guinasso scored in the 100th minute, with time running out in the second overtime to give Pelham a 2-1 win at Hillsboro-Deering. Guinasso was sent away on Josh Gonzalez lead and made no mistakes.

Sanborn's boys soccer team defeated Hillsboro-Deering 2-1, thanks partly to a goal put in accidentally by a Hillsboro player to tie the score. Austin Clough scored the game-winner for the indians (4-4).

Ahead 3-2 at halftime, the Sanborn boys soccer team held off Hillsboro to win by the same score yesterday, improving to 3-3. Steven O'Callahan scored twice sandwiched around a goal by Jordan Johnson. Andrew Gasse and Brendan Mahoney keyed the defense.

Pelham's unbeaten golf team continued to dominate its Division 3 oppoisition. Led by a par-36 from Jake Vaiknoras, the Pythons (8-0) scored 155 points, defeating runner-up Gilford by a whopping 22 strokes in a three-team meet. Brad Pomerleau was two strokes back with a 38.

Farrell tops area finishers

Kate Farrell had a strong day for second-place Windham at Sanborn's Jamie Martin Invitational, placing second individually just over five seconds behind the winner. Lexie Basiliere came in fourth overall as the Sanborn senior ran a 20:22.21. Pelham finished fourth paced by Erica Pantaleo (eighth overall) and Shannen Arsenault (10th).

Pythons second at invitational

With three of the top four finishers, St. Thomas Aquinas won the 15-team Jamie Martin Invitational at Sanborn Regional. Steven Hammar and Brandon Hannon helped Pelham place second, while Colby Putnam chopped 30 seconds from his personal best as Windham's top finisher. Shane Waters was the leading runner for the host school.
