Emily Little scored five goals and assisted on three others to lead the Phillips Academy girls lacrosse team to an 15-11 win over Tabor Academy.  Summer Washburn and Alissa Fromkin each scored three times for the Big Blue (6-3). Kaitlin Gaiss registered 12 saves for Phillips.

Gattuso goes 2-0 on day

Caroline Gattuso of North Reading was victorious not once but twice today as Phillips softball downed Cushing 8-3 and Tabor 9-6. Fellow North Reading resident Sarah Onorato helped Gattuso's cause in the second game against Tabor, going 2 for 3 with three runs scored and three RBIs. Sarah Boylan also cracked a two-RBI double in the Big Blue's decisive four-run sixth inning.

Once Chris Cameron and Jack Doyle were called into the game, they made their names heard. Each notched two hits and scored twice in a nine-run sixth inning as Phillips pounded Tabor Academy 11-0. Leadoff hitter Mike DiFronzo of North Reading had two doubles.

Two straight for Phillips

Adam Skaggs free throw with 15 seconds left snapped the game's final tie and gave Phillips Academy its second straight win, 57-56 over Tabor. Zach Burdeau led the Big Blue (2-5) with 13 points while Brian Russell and Skaggs each had 11 points. Phillips overcame a 33-25 halftime deficit to pull out the win.
