North Andover's Jake Gottfried and Owen Rosenberger were both 3-0 as Brooks won an impressive quad-meet against Avon (42-39), Tabor (45-33) and Long Island Lutheran (40-31). Brooks improved to 15-8.

Thomas Lane of Georgetown went 7.0 innings, allowing one unearned on two hits and three walks while striking out six batters to lead Phillips Academy 3-1 over Tabor. 

Paced by improving 138-pounder Jake Hesse of North Andover, Brooks  crowned four champions and had four runners-up on its way to a resounding championship run at the Tabor Tournament.

In a battle of two of the top prep teams in New England, Brooks got a pin from heavyweight Will Collins in the last match to edge Tabor 39-36. the Green and White had six pins and a decision by Nick Konovalchik at 152 in the most competitive match of the day.

Brooks opened its season with a resounding 60-18 victory over St. Mark's. Freshman Jason Gold, a first-year wrestler, won his high school debut at 106 and North Andover's Jake Gottfried looked impressive at 195 with a pin in 1:11.

Phillips Academy's wrestling team dropped a 52-23 decision to Tabor Academy but senior Christian Vallis had a big win, defeating John Anderson, the New England prep No. 1-ranked 132-pounder, 5-1, to remain undefeated.

The Toffoloni sisters - Eva, Katerina and Nikoletta - all played a big part in Phillips first win of the season, a 5-1 win over Tabor Academy.  Eva and Katerina each scored twice and Nikoletta added an assist.  Eva assisted as well. The Big Blue improved to 1-2-1.

Kayla Maloney's two-run home run in the fifth inning of game one highlihted Phillips nine-hit offensive attack. Maloney (3 for 4, two runs scored and two RBIs) also pitched six shutout innings to lead Phillips past Nobles, 6-1, in the opening game of this year’s Big East Tourney.

Tom Palleschi made his mound debut, going two innings and earning the win, as Phillips tripped Tabor 11-4. The Haverhill resident also smacked a three-run homer.
