Perfect Pythons

Pelham had the best of everything in its commanding 15-3 triumph over Laconia. Alex Catalano (six goals and two assists) and Sarah DeBaldo (five goals and an assist) drove the offense while midfielder Keri Foley and defender Sam Bangs effectively kept Laconia away from Caitlin Re (seven saves) and the Python net.

Milestone for Spirou

Pelham junior Stephen Spirou became the seventh player in school history and the fastest to reach it last night in a 72-34 blowout of Laconia. Spirou had 22 points in the first half and added a free throw after intermision to reach 1,000 in the 16th game of his junior season, one game before Justin Hojlo did it two years ago.

Having scored more than one goal just once on the season going into yesterday, Pelham struck for three in the second half alone on the way to beating Laconia 3-1. Ryan White led the way with two goals.

Pelham Soares to first win in four years

Kayla Soares scored a pair of goals and assisted on another as Pelhem downed Laconia 4-2 for the Pythons' first win in four seasons. 

"We are hoping to use this win to start building on," said coach Amy Alfaro, who believed Pelham's last win was a 2-0 victory against Kersarge on Sept. 29, 2006. Overall this is Pelham's second win in 7 seasons.
