LACONIA — Pelham manhandled Laconia Friday night, 54-7, to improve to 2-0. Alex Carroll and Kevin Bodenrader each scored twice and the Pythons scored on the ground, through the air, on a punt return and an interception return.

LACONIA — Jake Herrling had the game of his career Friday to pace Pelham to a 26-0 shutout at Laconia. 

Herrling scored three touchdowns, including two in the first quarter and rushed for 162 yards in just 12 carries. He capped Pelham's scoring with a 53-yard score in the third quarter.

Drew Brown was on fire for Pelham, scoring a team-high 28 points with eight 3s in a 90-56 blowout win over Laconia.

One of the hottest teams in the area is Pelham girls basketball. Friday night, the Pythons got 13 points from Abbey Schwab to take down Laconia, 39-28, for the team's seventh win in a row.

McKenna Williams finished with 13 points to lead Pelham to a 34-31 win over Laconia. Lili Rutherford added 7 for the Pythons.

Matt Crowley scored a career-high 19 points and Pelham scored 50 points in the middle two quarters in a 72-32 win over Laconia.

Pelham golf edged Plymouth by a point in a quad-meet at Campbell's Scottish Highlands, and Russ Hamel's even-par 35 for 27 points was a big reason why. Trailing by a point after the first four golfers came through, Colby Walsh and Peter Gamache both carded 43s to put the Pythons ahead.

Sanborn's boys soccer team tuned up for next week's state tournament with a 2-1 win over Laconia. Sebastian Roland got the game-winner in the second half on an assist from Wyatt Linville for the Indians (9-7).

Led by Keegan Branham's team-best 39, Sanborn golf scored 82 points to edge Derryfield (81) and roll past Laconia (42). Mack Hanisco (42) and Jack Haden (42) were next best for the Indians.
