LACONIA — Pelham manhandled Laconia Friday night, 54-7, to improve to 2-0. Alex Carroll and Kevin Bodenrader each scored twice and the Pythons scored on the ground, through the air, on a punt return and an interception return.

Herrling paces unbeaten Pelham

 

LACONIA — Jake Herrling had the game of his career Friday to pace Pelham to a 26-0 shutout at Laconia. 

Herrling scored three touchdowns, including two in the first quarter and rushed for 162 yards in just 12 carries. He capped Pelham's scoring with a 53-yard score in the third quarter.

Pelham golf edged Plymouth by a point in a quad-meet at Campbell's Scottish Highlands, and Russ Hamel's even-par 35 for 27 points was a big reason why. Trailing by a point after the first four golfers came through, Colby Walsh and Peter Gamache both carded 43s to put the Pythons ahead.

Pelham title game bound

Ian Morgenstern scored four goals and added four assists as top-seeded Pelham advanced to the Division 3 state championship game with a 16-4 win over No. 4 Laconia. 
 
 
Evan Haskins also scored four goals and Jaxon Snyder made 13 saves as the Pythons (16-0) set up a title game date with No. 2 Hopkinton on Saturday (2:30 p.m.) at Exeter High.
