Fellowship Christian gave Nazareth Academy a battle in the first and third games (25-23, 25-22) but ultimately got swept by Nazareth Academy in the Division 3 North quarterfinals. Melissa Farinha and Chelsea Kirmelewicz had strong games for the Rams (14-7).

Kendra Hobbs led Whittier back from two games to take the match against Fellowship Christian 3-2. Hobbs put up 14 assists and 11 service points.

Angie Gonzalez had a big night for Greater Lawrence volleyball, dishing out 15 assists and collecting 18 service points.

Brian Lundquist scored four goals and an assist to increase his season total to 14 goals in seven games as Fellowship Christian rallied from a 5-2 halftime deficit to win 7-6. Trever Glines added two goals and two assissts as Coach Chris Dyer made special note to the team's first conference win.

Greater Lawrence beat Fellowship Christian 25-13, 25-21, 21-25, 25-20. Poala Gutierrez racked up 10 kills and Angie Gonzalez dished out 12 assists. Irveline Claude played excellent for the Rams.

Fellowship Christian fell in the Division 4 North first round to Mt. St. Joseph, 62-39.

"We faced a good, tall team," said Rams coach Scott Phillips. "We were very cold in the first half. They were hitting everything."

Sanborn Regional coach Bob Ficker walked over to the water cooler midway through the fourth quarter, patted his star guard on the back for his efforts and told him, "Good job." The lectures about taking a dumb foul to foul out of the game could wait until the ride home. Or even over a snack at the dinner table.

Allison Lundquist scored 27 points and added 15 rebounds to lead Fellowship Christian to a 61-44 victory over Chelsea. Brittany Glines had 24 points while Chelsea Kirmelewicz had 10 for the Rams.
