Captain Grace Lydon scored five goals to join the 100-goal club for her career and to lift Central to a 16-4 win over Wayland. Grace Cashman had 15 saves.

Ethan Schena tallied a hat trick and Jackson Petisce had four assists as Methuen beat Wayland 5-3 on Saturday night.

Cole Fagan scored a goal and added four assists as North Andover rolled past Wayland 9-2.

Aidan Hollingsworth scored his second goal in two games, and Methuen topped Wayland 4-3. Senior James Trussel made 28 saves for the win in net.

Leandra Kwo scored a game-high 18 points and Latasha Settles added 17 points, including four 3-pointers, as Haverhill rolled over Wayland 61-33 in the MVC/DCL Challenge. Lindsay Joubert added 12 points in an all-around stellar contest for the winners.

Wayland rolled past Haverhill, 3-0, in the North first round, ending a terrific 22-year run for retiring Hillie coach Bill Kaste, who won 286 games with the boys' program. Spencer Dellea (9 kills) and Connor Buscema (7 kills) led the Hillies, who finished at 9-8.

Casey Langley scored three goals to lead Haverhill to its first win of the season, 5-2 over Wayland. 

NORTH READING — Alex D'Ambrosio kicked an 18-yard field goal with no time on the clock to give North Reading a 17-14 win over Wayland in the first round of the Division 4 North tournament Friday night.

Tyler Barnhart made 25 saves for his first career shutout as Haverhill beat Wayland 2-0.
