The bane of Allen Iverson's existence has extended Central Catholic's season.

Hard work on offensive situations in practice has continued to pay dividends for the No. 15 Raiders, the latest in a 17-6 torching of No. 18 Salem in Division 1 North preliminary round play.

The win sets up a quarterfinal date at second seed Lawrence Saturday.

"I told the kids after the third inning we're going to get our second at-bats," head coach Marc Pelletier said. "We made some adjustments and the offense came alive."

A 19-hit attack put the game away by the fifth inning as sophomore Connor Perry (three hits and three RBIs) and junior Colin Walsh (two hits, three RBIs) led the way.
