Methuen sophomore Kyle Mansour, a first year varsity player, was moved from opposite to middle after Methuen lost its first game to Andover. The move proved to be a smart one as Mansour recorded six blocks to help Andover win the next three straight games to win the match 3-1.
When Brian Gianopoulos went down with an ankle injury for the Golden Warriors, Greg Brown stepped in well with 5 kills and 4 blocks. "If we gave out game balls, he would have gotten one," said head coach Dave Kuykendall.
