North Andover freshman forward Ryan Boudreau had to be immobilized and carried off the field in an ambulance after suffering an apparent upper leg injury in a 4-3 Scarlet Knight loss to Rockport. After the injury, which caused roughly a 30-minute delay, Rockport scored three goals in the first six minutes.
"Obviously all of our attention is on Ryan and hoping he is going to be alright," said head coach Bill Tarbox. "I think the kids may have been effected by what happened. They just saw one of their own go down."
Trailing 3-0 at the half, the Scarlet Knights scored three quick goals in the second half to tie the game. Gareth Dudney netted two while Drew Pickul picked up the third. Rockport scored the game-winner on a penalty shot towards the end of the game.
