Salem goaltender Michael Collins was on top of his game yesterday, making a number of spectcular stops to blank Revere and lead the Witches to a 1-0 win.
"He made some amazing, diving saves," said Salem coach Mike D'Agostino. "They had a rocket of a blast to the top right corner and he made a great save."
Collins made eight total saves for his third shutout of the year with a big assist to stopper Ibrahim Oyewole, who turned in a superb effort in the defensive end.
"Oyewole and Collins dominated the back end," D'Agostino said. "The entire defense was amazing."
Eddie Demoya delivered the game-winner for the Witches (12-4-1) when he put a corner kick into the net with just 10 minutes to play in regulation. Looking to finish one of their better regular seasons in recent memory, the Witches face a pivotal game against rival Beverly on Senior Night Friday at Bertram Field.
