It just keeps getting better for Whittier coach Kevin Bradley.
Just over a month removed from coaching the football team to the first Super Bowl championship in program history, Bradley earned his 200th career victory as Wildcats girls basketball coach last night in a 65-54 win over Greater Lawrence.
"Everything was hidden," said Bradley. "And when we started to pull away at the end all the signs and the cake came out and the crowd started chanting. It went on for about three minutes. It has been a heck of a 12 months."
Bradley is currently in his 13th season as head coach of the Whittier girls, holding a stellar 200-99 record. The Wildcats are an outstanding 14-3 this year.
"You look back and said, 'Wow, that's a lot of wins,'" said Bradley. "I got to celebrate with my wife and children and father. A lot of former players have been texting me. It's great to know I had some impact on their lives."
