It didn't take long for the Central Catholic field hockey team to break the ice.
In just its second game of competition, the Raiders defeated Dracut 1-0 on a first-half goal by Nicole Bisson and then played superb defense to improve to 1-1.
"The girls were definitely excited," said Central coach Josselyn Mroz. "We worked on some things after our first game and the kids did a nice job."
Kelly Michal and Jill Zalewski playes strong defense for the Raiders.
