Central Catholic's volleyball team spotted rival Melrose a 2-1 lead in games before coming back for a 3-2 win in a battle of unbeaten rivals, winning the final game 15-4.

There is plenty of history in this rivalry. Central (8-0) eliminated Melrose in the Division 2 state tournament  the last tw0 years and Melrose (8-1) eliminated the Raiders the previous three years.

Lindsay Phenix had 11 kills and six blocks to pace Central up front, Maggie Hillman chipped in with eight kills and had 27 digs and Carolyn Eddy was credited with 35 assists as well as 20 service points.
