Central Catholic beats conference rival

Central Catholic and Andover have been the two best golf teams in the Merrimack Valley Conference the past seven years. During the span, Central Catholic has won the conference three times and Andover has won it four times, including each of the past four years.

 Both teams headed into yesterday's matchup unbeaten and Central Catholic was the team that remained perfect, posting a 13-7 victory at Indian Ridge Country Club. 

 "We're hoping its our time (to reclaim the conference title," Raiders coach Vin Pastore said."But the kids enjoy this match."

Central Catholic's Dylan Ryan and Andover's Michael Levenson tied for the medalist honors by shooting 35.
