The Vikings (8-7) clinched a post-season berth with an exciting win over the Sachems (7-9) yesterday, 3-2. Triton's Molly Fargeorge (7-6, 6-1) and Allie Murray (6-1, 7-6) won in their singles matches, and Emily and Teresa Kaminski won their doubles match (6-2, 7-5). For Pentucket, first singles Karena Webber (6-3, 6-1) was victorious, and Amy Dickinson and Erica McKee (6-4, 6-2) won their doubles match.
"The score doesn't indicate how close this match was - for winners and losers," said Sachem coach Laurie Dunnet. "I'm proud of my kids; they improved tremendously over the course of the year."
"It was a fun match," said Triton coach Martha Murray. "The girls were focused and really worked hard. I'm really proud in how Molly Fargeorge, Allie Murray, and Emily and Teresa Kaminski played."
