WEST ANDOVER | There's a lot more to Greater Lawrence Tech football than Nate Adames.

True, he is posting monster numbers in the early going and went over the 1,000-yard mark yesterday in just five games, but Northeast targeted Adames effectively. The senior, running fluidly after twisting his knee last week, was stopped three times for negative yardage and only had one carry for over 10 yards.

With Adames under a relative cloak, the Reggies needed another offensive option and found many. Fullback Victor Sosa ground out some effective yardage and found the end zone. Quarterback Jonathan Delossantos proved a threat both running and throwing, and receiver Eric Notenboom's quality pass routes highlighted an effective air game. It all added up to a 34-12 Greater Lawrence victory.

Delossantos filled the vacuum from Adames' reduced numbers ("only" 122 yards on 21 carries and two touchdowns). The senior was an efficient 5-of-10 passing for 108 yards and added 28 yards on the ground and a TD.

Running primarily wide-open crossing routes toward the sidelines, Notenboom hauled in four tosses for 64 yards. Two of the catches turned long third- and fourth-down plays into first downs and all were part of Reggie scoring drives.

"That's probably the one positive thing we can take away from this game | that we threw the ball effectively," said Reggie head coach Tony Sarkis. "Eric was making some nice catches on the sidelines and really stepped up for us."
