Mere hours after Matt Faia spun a gutsy two-hitter to beat Bishop Guertin at Holman Stadium, P.J. Singster threw a no-hitter at home as Timberlane edged Manchester Memorial, 1-0.
In the 1-hour, 20-minute contest, Singster allowed only two walks and personally erased Memorial's best scoring opportunity. With a runner on third in the fifth inning, Singster dove and caught a hot one-hopper with his pitching hand, held the runner and threw to first for the key out.
The Owls (7-7) were held to one hit, a second-inning double by Cam Fagan, and scored in the sixth. Zach Fox walked, stole second, went to third on an infield error and scored on Nick Mascioli's sacrifice fly.
