North Andover topped Masco 142.65-142.2 to improve to 8-1 and claim the CAL championship. Michelle Hall took second in both bars and floor and won all-around, while Paulina Neukuckatz placed first in beam. Said coach Ron Kearn, "Masconomet is always a power team. We knew we would have to hit all of the events in order to win, and we did."
In New Hampshire gymnastics action, undefeated Salem cashed in on 11 personal bests in its 137.7-117.7 win over Concord. Leeann Vadala took first in bars, beam, floor and all-around.
