The Georgetown boys hoop team (11-2) cruised by defending CAL champ Wilmington 52-35. Jaymie Spears led the way with 15 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals, and Mike Messman (11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 blocks) and Chris Esposito (7 points and 10 rebounds) added some great defense. Julio Colon scored 10 points.
"This would have to be the biggest win I've had as Georgetown's coach," said Mike Rowinski of beating the previously undefeated CAL champs. "The kids played great defense today. Mike Messman made a difference in the paint tonight and Chris Esposito did a great job inside and on the press."
