After showing rust in its season opener in the first half, the Pelham boys basketball team erupted for 43 points in the final two quarters for a 68-53 victory at Milford.
Justin Hojlo scored 18 of his 24 points in the second half for Pelham, which trailed 29-25 at halftime, and added seven assists, including four to sophomore Steve Spirou, who had 10 of his 20 points in the third quarter. Connor McColgan chipped in with eight rebounds.
"It was actually a very good win for us," said Pelham coach Todd Kress. "They're a top eight (Class I) team and to play like that at their place was a good way to start the season."
