Salem's main problem tonight against Londonderry could be overconfidence. The Blue Devils have looked so overwhelming in their first two games that they may start believing they're indestructible.
Enter Londonderry. While the Lancers fell flat against a vastly improved Manchester West squad, they were able to move the ball. Moreover, they should be ready to make amends for an uninspired second half last week.
With a few breaks, Londonderry will be able to hang with Salem and pull off what would have to be considered an upset. But, as long as they don't dwell on their press clippings, the Blue Devils appear to be too strong to let that happen.
Salem's backfield of Hal Landers, Kevin Sledge, Shane McMahon and James Stewart is playing as good as advertised and the defense is ahead of schedule, the result being a combined point differential of 90-15 in two wins.
Even big games from Londonderry's Ryan Griffin and Alex Theodosi won't be enough to make the difference.
