Pinkerton's bowling team won first in a meet against Raymond, Dover, Souhegan and Spaulding at Strikers East in Raymond. The Astros took the No. 1 seed in the qualifying round with a two-game standard ten pin total of 1783. Captain Jason Barton rolled games of 195 and 149, Matt Gagnon rolled a 158 and 122, Bryant Nourse bowled a fine 208 and a 164, Lance Lemieux had a 172 and a nice 224 and Harry Michaud bowled a 186 and 205.
The Astros then defeated Souhegan Sabers in the semifinals in two games; 198 to 140 and 150 to 123. In the finals, the Astros had an exciting two-round match against Raymond. Both teams tied the first game at 159 with Pinkerton taking the roll-off 40 pins to Raymond's 24. The second game came down to the last frames with Lemieux striking in the 9th and Michaud throwing three strikes in the 10th to roll the Astros to a 195-191 win.
