CONCORD, Mass — A missed extra point turned out to be the difference.
Thankfully for Brooks, Brian Barker-Morrill made both of his point-after tries in a 14-13 win over the Middlesex School Saturday afternoon.
It was a strong day defensively for Brooks (2-3), as John Fritz, Darrell Yepdo, Nick Fulgione and Kobe Briand all had interceptions. Briand's 30-yard interception return for a touchdown in the third quarter put Brooks on top 7-6.
Middlesex would take a 13-7 lead later in the third quarter, but Fritz responded with a 4-yard TD scamper in the fourth to put Brooks ahead for good.
It's a short week for Brooks, which will host St. Sebastian on Friday at 6 p.m.
