At the 19:58 mark in the game Newburyport hit the post against its Hamilton-Wenham opponents, and over the next three minutes the Clippers came to life scoring three times before routing the Generals, 5-1.
Jillian Kinter scored a hat trick, including a rocket of a goal that coach Robb Gonnam said was one of the hardest shots he has ever seen. Taylor Bresnahan was marvelous scoring twice, including one in which she beat four defenders on a 40-yard run, and had an assist. Veronica Poirier had two assists, and Avery Cullinan and Hannah Martin each had an assist.
