Pentucket (8-5-2) clinched its third state tournament berth in the last five years by overcoming a 1-0 halftime deficit. James Costello tallied a goal and an assist for the Sachems. Gary Lane added a goal. Brian Clevesy had an assist.
"It was our final home game for 15 seniors, so I played almost all senior in the second half," Pentucket coach Christian Langlois said. "It was awesome to see them step up for the final time at home."
Ben Lloyd scored the goal for Amesbury (2-9-4).
"We played with respect for the game and left every bit of energy on the field," Amesbury coach Brett Manoloff said.
