The Amesbury Indians (4-8) pulled out a close win over the visiting Manchester-Essex Hornets (4-7), 132-128. Joe Kezer (34), James Cashman (23), Dylan Powers (22), Sean Ward (18), Troy Eaton (18), and Jon Fournier (17) were the leading scorers for the Indians. Seventh grader Miles Wood led the Hornets from the eight spot with 27 points.
"We knew they were a pretty high-scoring team, so we knew we had to play well to get the win," said coach George Dodier. "It was tight all the way, and Joe Kezer helped us out a lot with a 1 over par round."
