KINGSTON — As it has for most of the season, Sanborn relied on senior workhorse Chris Hanna to carry the load offensively.
Always up for a challenge, Hanna took the rock 32 times for 115 yards and a touchdown to help the Indians take a 14-13 victory over Milford.
Sanborn (3-4) led 14-0 at the half, but Milford (2-5) scored what looked to be the tying touchdown with just over five minutes left in the game. But Jonah George came roaring in for the block on the point-after attempt to keep the Indians ahead.
Hanna ran out the clock from there.
Defensively, Cullen Maguire came up with an interception that led to Hanna's touchdown run in the first quarter. Owen Snively also played well on that side of the ball.
Quarterback Brian McGough scored the other Sanborn touchdown on a 1-yard run in the second quarter.
The Indians will be at Hillboro-Deering-Hopkington on Saturday for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
