Haverhill snaps 10-game losing streak to Knights

Alex Melo scored in the third minute off a pass from Ryan Shaut to lift Haverhill to a 1-0 win over previously-unbeaten North Andover. John Vets made seven saves for the Hillies (2-3-1).

That snapped a 10-game Hillie losing streak to the Knights in which HHS was outscored 38-3. The last Hillie win over NA was the 2007 season-opener by a 4-0 count. One of the heroes in that one was new Hillie coach Charlie Roche.
