Londonderry trailed 14-1 after a quarter and it was too big a deficit to overcome in the first round boys basketball Division 1 state tourney game. The Lancers did cut it to 2 late in the third but Winnacunnet went on a 10-2 run and cruised to the 58-47 win.

It was that kind of season for the defending state champion Lancers. Cam McDonald was diagnosed yesterday with mono and couldn't play and another player quit the team yesterday.

Matt Corey (13) and Jake Coleman (12) led LHS.
