With two outs and runners at second and third, North Andover intentionally walked Andover star E.J. Perry IV to face Gabe Hernandez. The senior infielder responded by lacing a two-run single to left to send the game into extra innings. The Golden Warriors then took the lead in the eighth, and Hernandez took the mount to close out the game with a pair of strikeouts as the Warriors down the Scarlet Knights 8-5.
Golden Warriors ace Reid Bryant had to leave the game with an undetermined arm injury.
